#2 Regional identity

Based on aspects of John A. Agnews theories on regional identity. What aspects are creating the regional identities along the west coast of Norway? Focuses on the affiliation towards:

1: The way of speaking and communicating (dialect/language).
2: A common industry as an unity for the people in a place (fishing, oil or other industries).
3: A specific geographical area (Island, fjord, mountain area etc.).

This video is exploring these differences along the coast, from Bergen to Lofoten.

The automatic identification system (AIS) is an automatic tracking system used for collision avoidance.
AIS integrates a standardized VHF transceiver with a positioning system such as a GPS receiver. Vessels fitted with AIS transceivers can be tracked by AIS base stations located along coast lines
